18th Birthday Promotion
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Promoter
The promoter is I Want Energy PTY LTD trading as I Want Energy, ABN 84 132 839 386, of 62 Hopkins Street, Moonah, Tasmania 7009 (“I Want Energy” or “the Promoter”).
2. Promotion period
The promotion will be held on Saturday, 22 August 2026, from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm AEST, at I Want Energy, 62 Hopkins Street, Moonah, Tasmania.
Entries for the prize giveaways must be submitted by 2pm on 22 August 2026.
3. Eligibility
Entry is open to Tasmanian residents aged 18 years or older.
Employees, contractors and immediate family members of I Want Energy, the campervan provider, the accommodation provider and any other businesses directly involved in conducting the promotion are not eligible to enter.
Entrants must provide accurate contact information and comply with the stated entry process.
4. How to enter the prize giveaways
To enter, an eligible person must:
- Attend the I Want Energy event on 22 August 2026; and
- Complete and submit the official giveaway entry form before the closing time.
Unless otherwise stated, only one entry per person is permitted.
No purchase is required to enter the campervan or accommodation prize draws.
The 18% installation labour discount is a separate promotional offer and is not awarded through a prize draw.

PART A — 18% INSTALLATION LABOUR DISCOUNT |
5. Discount offer
Eligible customers will receive 18% off the eligible installation labour component of a qualifying I Want Energy solar and/or battery installation.
This discount does not apply to the total system price.
6. How to qualify
To receive the discount, the customer must:
- Accept and sign an eligible I Want Energy solar and/or battery proposal on 22 August 2026; and
- Pay the required deposit amount stated in the proposal on the same day.
The signed acceptance and required deposit must be received or successfully processed within 48 hours of signed proposal.
Every eligible customer who satisfies these requirements will receive the discount. This offer is not a competition, lucky draw or game of chance.
7. Eligible installation costs
The 18% discount applies only to the eligible installation labour component identified in the customer’s final proposal or contract.
The discount does not apply to:
- Solar panels, batteries, inverters, mounting equipment or other products;
- The total solar or battery system price;
- Switchboard or meter upgrades;
- Network, connection or approval charges;
- Scaffolding, cranes, trenching or civil works;
- Travel or remote-area charges;
- Roof repairs or structural work;
- Asbestos identification or removal;
- Additional electrical work;
- Site-specific upgrades;
- Customer-requested changes or variations;
- Additional work discovered during installation; or
- Any other item not expressly identified as eligible installation labour.
The discount will be calculated on the eligible GST-exclusive installation labour amount shown in the final proposal.
8. Additional discount conditions
The offer:
- Applies to eligible solar-only, battery-only and combined solar-and-battery installations;
- Is limited to one discount per customer, property and installation contract;
- Is subject to a satisfactory site assessment, product availability, network approval and installation availability;
- Cannot be combined with another I Want Energy installation-labour discount unless approved by I Want Energy in writing;
- May be used alongside an eligible government rebate or manufacturer incentive unless the rules of that separate program state otherwise; and
- May be recalculated if the installation scope or eligible labour component changes.
If the customer cancels the contract, does not pay the required deposit, does not satisfy the contract conditions or substantially changes the installation scope, the discount may be withdrawn or recalculated.
The discount has no cash value. No cash payment, refund or account credit will be provided for any unused discount value.

PART B — YINGINA ELECTRIC CAMPERVAN PRIZE |
9. Campervan prize
One eligible winner will receive a three-day, two-night hire of the Yingina electric campervan.
Yingina is a Tasmanian-designed and fitted electric campervan suitable for a solo traveller or couple. It includes:
- A bed;
- Interior lighting;
- Heating;
- A fridge;
- A sink and water supply;
- USB and USB-C charging;
- A 220V inverter;
- Cooking equipment; and
- A double stove cooker.
The campervan is designed for independent and off-grid travel. The prize is temporary use of the vehicle only. Ownership of the vehicle is not transferred to the winner.
10. Pick-up and return
The campervan must be collected from and returned to I Want Energy, 62 Hopkins Street, Moonah, Tasmania 7009.
Pick-up and return times will be confirmed when the winner books the prize. The winner is responsible for arranging and paying for their own travel to and from the pick-up location.
11. Booking and availability
The prize must be booked and used by 22nd August 2027.
Travel dates are subject to:
- Campervan availability;
- Blackout dates;
- The campervan provider’s booking requirements; and
- The winner satisfying all licence, age, insurance and security requirements.
The winner must provide reasonable notice when requesting travel dates. The winner’s first-choice dates are not guaranteed.
12. Driver requirements
The nominated driver must:
- Be at least 25 years old;
- Hold a current and valid Australian drivers licence appropriate for the vehicle;
- Meet all requirements of the campervan provider and insurer;
- Sign the applicable rental agreement; and
- Follow all road rules, safety instructions and vehicle operating requirements.
Additional drivers are permitted only where approved in advance and included in the rental agreement.
13. Charging card
A charging card covering most participating electric-vehicle charging stations across Tasmania will be provided during the hire period. Eligible charging costs made using the supplied card are included in the prize.
The charging card:
- May not be accepted at every charging station;
- Must only be used to charge the prize vehicle during the approved hire period;
- Does not cover parking fees, idle fees, overstay fees, fines or penalties;
- Must be returned with the campervan; and
- Must not be shared or used for another vehicle.
The winner is responsible for planning an appropriate route and confirming charger compatibility and availability.
15. Insurance, bond and damage
Vehicle insurance is included subject to the campervan provider’s rental agreement and insurer requirements.
The winner may be required to provide:
- A refundable security bond or credit-card pre-authorisation; and
- Payment of an applicable insurance excess if the vehicle is damaged, stolen or involved in an accident.
The applicable bond and insurance-excess amounts must be disclosed before the booking is confirmed.
The winner is responsible for:
- Traffic and parking fines;
- Toll charges;
- Damage caused through negligence, misuse or a breach of the rental agreement;
- Lost keys, charging cards or equipment;
- Incorrect charging or damage to charging equipment; and
- Any amount excluded from the applicable insurance cover.
16. Campervan cleaning
The campervan must be returned in a reasonably clean and tidy condition.
Before returning the campervan, the winner must:
- Remove all rubbish and personal belongings;
- Wash and put away cooking equipment;
- Clean spills and food residue;
- Leave the bed and interior reasonably tidy; and
- Complete any other basic return-cleaning requirements provided at pick-up.
No standard cleaning charge will apply where the campervan is returned in the required condition.
A reasonable additional cleaning fee may apply where excessive cleaning is required, including cleaning resulting from smoking, pets, stains, excessive mud, food waste or failure to follow the return-cleaning instructions. Any fee must reflect the reasonable cleaning cost incurred.
17. Breakdown or mechanical problem
If the campervan experiences a mechanical or electrical breakdown that was not caused by the winner:
1. The winner must contact the campervan provider immediately;
2. Roadside assistance or repairs will be arranged where reasonably possible;
3. A suitable replacement vehicle may be provided where one is reasonably available; and
4. If the trip cannot reasonably continue and no suitable replacement is available, the winner will be offered one opportunity to reschedule the prize for mutually agreed dates within 12 months.
If rescheduling is not reasonably possible, I Want Energy may provide an alternative travel or accommodation prize of equal or greater value. No cash payment or refund will be provided.
This replacement or rescheduling protection does not apply where the problem was caused by:
- Driver negligence;
- A collision or accident caused by the driver;
- Misuse of the vehicle;
- Driving on prohibited or unsuitable roads;
- Ignoring a warning light or safety instruction;
- Running the vehicle out of charge due to inadequate trip planning; or
- A breach of the rental agreement.
18. Accident or emergency
In the event of an accident, damage, theft or emergency, the winner must:
- Ensure everyone is safe and contact emergency services where required;
- Notify the campervan provider immediately;
- Not admit liability;
- Obtain the details of other involved parties and witnesses;
- Follow the insurer’s claim process; and
- Complete any required accident documentation.
Insurance excesses and uninsured costs may remain payable by the winner under the rental agreement.
19. Cancellation and rescheduling
Where the campervan provider or I Want Energy cancels the booking because of vehicle unavailability, mechanical problems, severe weather, safety concerns or circumstances outside reasonable control, the winner will be offered:
- An equivalent replacement vehicle;
- Alternative mutually agreed dates; or
- An alternative prize of equal or greater value.
Where the winner requests cancellation at least 14 days before the booked pick-up date, one date change may be permitted, subject to availability.
Late cancellations, failure to attend or failure to satisfy the driver, licence, bond or insurance requirements may result in the prize being forfeited.

PART C — ROARING BEACH OFF-GRID ACCOMMODATION PRIZE |
20. Accommodation prize
One eligible winner will receive a three-day, two-night off-grid accommodation stay at Roaring Beach, Tasmania.
The maximum occupancy is two adults and two children. The accommodation may not be used by more than four guests, and there must not be more than two adult guests.
21. Booking and availability
The accommodation prize must be booked and used by 22nd August 2027.
The booking is subject to:
- Property availability;
- Blackout dates;
- Minimum booking notice;
- The accommodation provider’s booking requirements; and
- Compliance with all property and house rules.
The winner’s preferred dates are not guaranteed.
22. House rules
The winner and all accompanying guests must comply with the house rules provided by the accommodation host or property manager.
These may include rules relating to:
- Check-in and check-out times;
- Noise and quiet hours;
- Children’s supervision;
- Pets;
- Smoking and vaping;
- Fires and outdoor cooking;
- Waste and off-grid water use;
- Septic or wastewater systems;
- Parties, events and additional visitors;
- Restricted areas;
- Parking;
- Cleaning and rubbish removal; and
- Safety and emergency procedures.
A serious breach of the house rules may result in the stay being ended without replacement or compensation.
23. Accommodation costs and exclusions
The prize includes two nights of accommodation for the permitted guests and any standard booking or cleaning fee confirmed as included by the accommodation provider.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the prize does not include:
- Travel to or from Roaring Beach;
- Fuel or vehicle hire;
- Food or drinks;
- Activities or tours;
- Additional nights;
- Personal expenses;
- Additional cleaning caused by unreasonable use; or
- Damage caused by the winner or their guests.
The winner may be required to provide a refundable security deposit or credit-card pre-authorisation.
The winner is responsible for damage, missing property, excessive cleaning and other charges resulting from a breach of the accommodation provider’s terms.
24. Accommodation cancellation or unavailability
If the accommodation becomes unavailable because of property damage, safety concerns, severe weather, host cancellation or circumstances outside reasonable control, I Want Energy will offer:
- Alternative mutually agreed dates; or
- A comparable replacement accommodation prize of equal or greater value.
No cash payment or refund will be provided.
Where the winner cancels with sufficient notice, one reschedule may be permitted subject to availability and the accommodation provider’s cancellation conditions.
Late cancellation, failure to attend or failure to comply with booking requirements may result in the prize being forfeited.
25. Platform disclaimer
Where the accommodation is listed or booked through Airbnb or another third-party booking platform, the winner must comply with that platform’s applicable terms.
Unless expressly confirmed in writing, Airbnb is not the sponsor, administrator or promoter of this giveaway and does not endorse or administer the promotion.

PART D — PRIZE DRAW AND GENERAL CONDITIONS |
26. Prize draw
The campervan and accommodation prizes are separate prizes. One winner will be drawn for the campervan prize and one winner will be drawn for the accommodation prize.
The winners will be randomly selected on 24 August 2026 at 10am at I Want Energy, 62 Hopkins Street, Moonah, Tasmania.
An entrant may win only one major prize. If the same person is selected for both prizes, that person will receive the first prize drawn and the second prize will be redrawn.
27. Winner announcement and notification
The winners will be drawn and announced on 24 August 2026 during I Want Energy showroom hours at 62 Hopkins Street, Moonah, Tasmania.
Winners may also be announced through I Want Energy’s website and social-media channels.
28. No cash or unused value
Prizes, discounts and promotional benefits:
- Cannot be exchanged for cash;
- Have no redeemable cash value;
- Cannot be divided into separate benefits;
- Do not entitle the recipient to a refund for any unused portion; and
- Cannot be transferred, sold or advertised for resale without I Want Energy’s written approval.
No payment, credit or alternative benefit will be provided for an unused night, unused kilometre, unused charging amount, unoccupied guest place or unused discount value.
30. Verification and disqualification
I Want Energy may verify an entrant’s age, identity, residency and compliance with these Terms and Conditions.
I Want Energy may disqualify an entrant who:
- Provides false or misleading information;
- Submits duplicate or fraudulent entries;
- Tampers with the entry or draw process;
- Behaves in an abusive, unsafe or disruptive manner; or
- Does not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
31. Privacy
Personal information collected through this promotion will be used to:
- Administer the promotion;
- Contact and verify winners;
- Arrange prize bookings; and
- Meet legal and administrative requirements.
Marketing communications will only be sent where the entrant has provided the appropriate consent. Entrants may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
Winner details may be shared with the relevant campervan or accommodation provider where necessary to arrange the prize.
32. Publicity
By accepting a prize, a winner agrees that I Want Energy may publish their first name, suburb and an image relating to the prize presentation or experience, subject to obtaining the winner’s consent at the time.
33. Liability
Entrants and winners participate in the promotion and use the prizes at their own risk, subject to applicable law.
I Want Energy is not responsible for additional expenses incurred by a winner except where those expenses are expressly included in the prize.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
34. Acceptance of terms
By entering a prize draw, accepting a prize or claiming the 18% installation labour discount, the participant confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
