Heat Pump Hot Water

Hot water is one of the biggest energy costs in most Tasmanian homes. A heat pump hot water system can dramatically reduce that cost, using a fraction of the energy of a traditional electric system.

Key Benefits

💧

Cut running costs

Reduce hot water energy costs by up to 80% compared with standard electric storage.

🌡️

Heat from the air

Uses heat from the surrounding air instead of generating heat directly.

☀️

Works with solar

Heats water during the day to make the most of your solar production.

🔄

Easy upgrade

A straightforward replacement for most existing electric hot water systems.

How It Works

A heat pump draws heat from the surrounding air into a refrigerant. The refrigerant is compressed, increasing its temperature, and transfers that heat into the water tank. Once the target temperature is reached, the system switches off and restarts when more hot water is needed.
